I am on here twice a week at most, and I seem to be Blogger illiterate! 

I know I was invited to join something - I saw it earlier today, but now I can't find it.  I jump from page to page on here trying to figure this confounded system out, until I am ready to turn on the waterworks.

Pyramid Texts are Amazingly Similar to Christian Texts

 Enjoy reading a small portion of the ancient Pyramid Texts that follow!  I have put what phrases I think sound similar to words from the Bible.  These texts were written 2300 to 2400 B.C. in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics.  They have also recently found a tomb of an Egyptian princess dating back to 2500 B.C.!

Often I also see where apologists claim these writings are just prophesies of a god to come, as if these ancient gods did not count and were not real gods to their people!  They also call this “foreshadowing” the story of Jesus; again, claiming the ancient religions were only there to foretell of a true god that will come later.  Looking at these texts a person can see that their gods had already arrived and were sufficient for the people.

It has been warned not to believe false gods by most religions.  Amusingly, the same warnings are in the Pyramid Texts.  There have been and are still so many gods in the world, most religions warn not to even look at other religions. 

Anyway, the writing on the walls of the tombs was to help guide their Kings and other royalty to the afterworld for eternal life.  These texts are extremely reliable in telling what the people of the time believed.  Think about it:  these are the original writings!  With the Bible, and this is fact, the original writings were lost, and what is now the Bible is made of copies of copies, where notes in the margins were incorporated into the text and whole books were discarded at the Council of Nicea over 300 years after Jesus’ death.  These Pyramid Texts tell exactly what the people believed, and obviously were written before the scribes lived who wrote the Bible.  The language tells us that! 

One more note and then enjoy the ancient beliefs - notice when these were written on the walls:  2300 to 2400 B.C.  Remember anything else that was claimed to happen at that time?  Noah’s worldwide flood!  How did these walls made of sand, built during a drought get built under mountain high levels of water? 

HERE ARE THE TEXTS:

Oho! Oho! I will make it for you, this shout of acclaim, O! my father, because you have no human father and you have no human mother; your father is the Great Wild Bull, your mother is the Maiden.

O Unas, you have not gone dead, you have gone alive to sit on the throne of Osiris.  Your captor is in your hand that you may give orders to the living.

You are to purify yourself . . . so that you may be able to be by the side of the god and leave your house to your son, your procreation.

Geb is one of the gods who watch the weighing of the heart of the deceased in the Judgment Hall of Osiris. The righteous who were provided with the necessary words of power were able to make their escape from the earth but the wicked were held fast by Geb.  (See how the judgment ideas are already in existence as part of a religion?)

We also see how the wicked are denied heaven and held by Geb in the same manner as the wicked are denied heaven and assigned to hell in the Christian beliefs.

The king is the son of Atum and is a star. The King's mother was pregnant with him, (even he) who was in the Lower Sky, the King was fashioned by his father Atum before the sky existed, before earth existed, before men existed, before the gods were born, before death existed.

Oho! Oho! Rise up, O Teti!

Take your head, collect your bones,

Gather your limbs, shake the earth from your flesh!

Take your bread that rots not, your beer that sours not,

Stand at the gates that bar the common people!

The gatekeeper comes out to you, he grasps your hand,

Takes you into heaven, to your father Geb.

You shall lay hold of the hand of the Imperishable Stars, your bones shall not perish, your flesh shall not sicken, O! King, your members shall not be far from you, because you are one of the gods.

I say by Nut, the brilliant, the great: This is my son, my first-born, opener of my womb; this is my beloved, with whom I am pleased.

Re (powerful solar God), the body of Nut with the seed of the spirit, which shall be in her.

Remove yourself from upon your left side, put yourself upon your right side, for your seat among the gods endures and Ra (same as Re) leans on you with his arm.

The earth speaks: The doors of the earth-god are opened for you, the doors of Geb are thrown open for you, you come forth at the voice of Anubis, he makes a spirit of you like Thoth, you judge the gods.

Osiris grasps the mace with his fist; his hand grasps the scepter: These are symbols for his administrative rule in the heavens. His administrative power extends to judgment, an attribute widely described in the Texts.

And that he even ascended to Heaven on a cloud, to sit on the throne . . .

"O King, there comes this time of tomorrow and this time of three days; a stairway to the sky is set up for you among the imperishable stars"

Unas opens the gate in the double doors.  You will not do your will with Unas.

Unas has come out of the Isle of Fire, after he has placed Truth there in the place of Falsehood.

Unas is that which appears, which remains.  The doers ( of evil) shall not be able to destroy the favorite seat of Unas amongst the living in this land, eternally to eternity.

There is no word against Unas on earth among men, there is no crime of him in heaven among gods.  Unas has done away with the word against him, Unas has annulled it in order to rise toward heaven.

The Face of the God opens for Unas and Unas sits down on the Great Seat at the side of God.

May you look down from star on Osiris when he gives orders to the spiritual.  You are not of them

Una's span of life is eternity, his limit is everlastingness, eternally and forever

Unas has come to you, hawks, although your houses are closed for Unas.

Unas, it is who judges on the day when the elder is being sacrificed

Unas knows him, Everlastingness is his name, Everlastingness; the Lord of the Year is his name, he with the arm ready to fight.

You who come to Unas as adversaries, come to him!  Unas is his father's self.

Re – Atum!  Your son comes to you, let him ascend to you!  This is the son of your body, eternally!

I am the essence of a god, the son of a god, the messenger of a god.

Bring a meal of the unique Lord

Fear, tremble, you evil doers, before the storm of Heaven.

Ignore not Unas, you know him for he knows you.

Horus, do for his father.  To the Lord of the storm, wrath is forbidden when he carries you.  It is he who will carry Atum.

The One in Peace Greatest One of the Annihilated.  The People of Light here witness for him.

Gate of Nun, Unas comes to you!  Let this (gate) be opened for him!

Ignore not Unas, you know him for he knows you.

The land into which Unas goes, he will not thirst in it, he will not hunger in it, eternally.

CERTIFIED HUMANE AND ORGANIC - HEALTHY? HUMANE?

REGULATIONS OF CERTIFIED HUMANE AND ORGANIC LABELING

THINK EATING MEAT IS HUMANE OR HEALTHY?

Recently many vegans and vegetarians have been told that it's okay now to eat meat because they now have "humane laws" and certifications!  Not surprisingly, meat and dairy industry spokesmen are now on those humane law making boards, and are making laws that sound good but do little, and they are the ones promoting the humane laws!   You see, it is a profit for the meat and dairy industry to carry a “humane” label, as more people will purchase that product.

They will also find one vegetarian who became a slaughterhouse worker because he said slaughterhouses are now humane, and try to convince people it is fine to eat meat.  Think about the word: “slaughterhouse.”  Killing an animal who does not want to die and could be well if you took care of it.  Humane slaughter.  That makes no sense.

But for most of us vegans and vegetarians, there will never be a reason to return to eating meat or dairy.  (Here’s the gross part – live through.)  Also, I have watched some videos about slaughterhouses where the cows are cut up before they are dead.  I’ve seen this with leather factories too. Yes, their throats are slit, but they are alive five minutes later and their legs are cut off right here (above the ankles), and the workers keep going while the cow is still alive.  The video cuts off and I don’t see how long they stay alive.  Cutting up animals alive is common according to slaughterhouse workers. 

We need to know what some of the certifications actually mean.  I chose to investigate "Certified Humane" because I thought it was probably the most humane label that had rules for all the farm animals (Animal Welfare Institute only did a couple animals, but gave them a little more room – I guess they are working on it); and the label for "Organic" farming.

On to the regulations:

We will compare organic and then certified humane for different animals.

Organic:  This is the label that could be called the "I trust you!" label.  Because there are almost no regulations!

For any of the animals in organic they do not use antibiotics or hormones, so that is to their credit, and why they are called organic.

Inspections are once a year and sometimes unannounced, so the unannounced part is also to their credit.

Certified Humane:  This label should be called, “Just a little less horrendous.”

Because it makes only slight improvements in regular factory farm methods.

Inspections are once a year and I believe they give them 48 hours notice; correct me if I am wrong.  But if they don’t meet the inspection criteria, the inspectors come back one more time to see if they have corrected their flaws.

FIRST CATEGORY - BEEF CATTLE

Organic 

Rules regarding access to pasture: 

Required; temporary confinement allowed in some situations; feedlots prohibited.  Many organic farmers use the temporary confinement to keep them confined most of the time.  Keep in mind organic rules do not tell how many animals they can keep or how close together.  This crowding could promote more diseases! 

Certified Humane

Access to Pasture: 

Not required; cattle may be maintained in feedlots. Crowded, nothing there, extremely hot, and standing in their own feces.

Organic 

Castration: 

“Physical alterations must be performed as needed to promote animal welfare and in a manner that minimizes pain and stress. “  As much as possible, I have used the actual wording from the regulations.

Certified Humane

Castration: 

Recommend be done at earliest age possible; anesthesia required for surgical removal after 2 months of age.

Switch trimming permitted. (They cut off the hairs at the end of the tail that the cows use to swat flies or scratch themselves.)

A couple of important issues to point out for dairy cows:

The mother cows are raped by a farmer sticking his arm all the way in to the cow with a metal hook and artificially inseminating her.  They keep her continuously pregnant in order to get milk out of her.  The boys born to her become veal calves, so if you drink milk, you support the veal industry.  The boys are kept in tiny hutches with “certified humane” where they can just barely turn around. 

THIRD CATEGORY - SHEEP

Organic 

Tail Docking:

(As usual!)  Physical alterations must be performed as needed to promote animal welfare.

Tail Docking: 

May be performed between 1 and 14 days using rubber ring or hot iron; anesthetic not required.

No category addressed male chicks!  Why?  Almost all male chicks are killed (either ground up in big chunks [sometimes they stay alive for a short while] or thrown in a huge bin to crush each other to death).

Tremors Prevented by Vegan Diet?

Familial Tremors run very strongly in my family.  Most people don’t realize there are many different kinds of tremors, and Familial Tremors are Essential Tremors that are passed down through the genes (the family)!  I have one brother and no sisters, and my understanding was that there was a 50% chance I would get the disease, so I figured the disease would hit either my brother or me – 50% chance him/50% chance me.  My brother thought he might be the one to get the disease and I thought I might be the one.  I even had a doctor tell me I had the disease by just looking at how my fingers trembled when I held them out in front of me.  She was aware I drank a lot of coffee too, so I figured my hands must have really been shaking!

Amusingly, it won’t be a case between my brother getting Familial Tremors or me getting them.  My sister-in-law, a nurse, gently explained to Brain-dead Bobbie, that my brother had a 50% chance of getting the disease, AND I have a 50% chance of getting it, independent of each other!  That doesn’t seem fair, because that’s 100% of the kids if we both get it! 

Recently I read an article by Dr. John McDougall about evidence that meats and dairy might be responsible for most tremors. Meats are where pesticides can become the most concentrated, and fats in milk and meats can destroy protective barriers in the brain.  You will have to read the article for more detail!  I will post the link to the article at the end of this blog post, but Dr. McDougall has 34 references for the article, so it is not just his opinion. What I found fascinating is that rural Africans, Chinese and Japanese have very little of Parkinsons Disease, and their diets are vegan or semi-vegan.  However, Parkinsons Disease is similar for blacks and whites in the United States who eat the typical Western diet; this shows diet to be a strong factor. (The past two sentences were partially lifted from the article!)

What I was not happy about is that consumption of milk in midlife has been found to be associated with development of Parkinsons.  Up until three years ago when I went vegan, I drank two to five glasses of milk per day.  This is not looking good!  And for any men reading this blog: “Men who consume more than two glasses of milk have twice the incidence of PD as men who do not drink cow’s milk.” 

It just looks like the sooner a person leaves meat and milk behind, the better (and safer)!
